HAGEMAN, Nini (van der Velde) J– Decem- On the evening of the 29th of December Services are under the care of Gillies Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Lynden Cora is survived by her children Ken Haak and wife Mary Jane, Larry Haak and wife Diane and Marilyn Haak all of Lynden and Linda Steve of Brigham City, Utah seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren brother Harvey Timmer and wife Mary of Lynden, sister-in-law Cora Timmer and brother and sister-in-law Al and Harriet Haak all of Lynden and numerous other relatives. Besides her parents, she was preceded by her husband Gerrit in 1990, sister Ella Huisingh and brother John Timmer. Through all these activities her priority was still that of a mother and grandmother. She had been active in the Lynden Christian Mother's Club and as a volunteer played piano for many years at the Christian Health Care Center.
Haak also taught Sunday School, was a member of the Naomi Circle and with Norma Wiersma-Bosman started the catering committee at Bethel. A charter member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Mrs. A home maker, for many years she also supervised the lunch room at the former Lynden Auction. She lived in Hull until moving to Lynden in 1934 and was married to Gerrit Haak on June 25, 1941. Cora was the daughter of John and Ida (Bouma) Timmer and was born in Hull, North Dakota on December 29, 1914. Haak died at the Christian Health Care Center in Lynden on Saturday, May 25, (2002). in Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Lynden with Rev. in Monumenta Cemetery followed by funeral services at 3:00 p.m. Graveside services will be on Wednesday, May 29, at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, at Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden. Cora Haak of Lynden will be from 1:00 p.m.
